I was patiently waiting until I could officially tell you…Lisa Kahn Events was honored to have not one but two client's weddings featured in the 2011 issue of Ceremony Magazine!  The new issue of Ceremony hit the shelves last week. I hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year. 2010 was an exciting year for Lisa Kahn Events and we were very honored to have shared some many amazing events with such wonderful people. Thanks to our great clients and colleagues, Lisa Kahn Events was featured in Your Wedding Day, Los Angeles Times (Wedding Section), gettmarried.com, theknot.com, weddingchannel.com and was voted on of the Best Wedding Planners in Los Angeles by My Fox LA Hotlist. 

2011 is already starting off with a bang! One of our client’s weddings was published in The Knot Southern California Magazine Spring/Summer 2011 issue, and keep your eyes open for more of our clients to be published in the next issues of Your Wedding Day Magazine and Ceremony Magazine. In addition to all this, we now have a new look for our website – go check it out and let us know what you think.  We are looking forward to 2011!

I cannot think of a better way for Lisa Kahn Events to end 2010 then with the Carrie Green and Shawn Costantino wedding. It was an amazing 3-day event at Bacara Spa and Resort in Santa Barbara spent with their close family and friends. I was honored to help coordinate it.  It did just so happen to be the rainiest weekend of the year, but that did not stop the wedding from being one of the most beautiful experiences I have been a part of. Their intimate ceremony was in the Rotunda Room with gorgeous views and white flowers with eggplant and navy accents provided by the amazing Camilla Svensson Burns of Camilla's Flowers.  Following the ceremony, the cocktail area had a large fireplace and couches to keep everyone warm and cozy. Then back to the Rotunda Room for the reception, which was transformed into an elegant family-style reception with long, rectangular, beautiful dark wooden tables, a lot of candles and breathtaking flowers by Camilla. With Carrie being a teacher of dance and Shawn being a teacher of music (they actually met each other where they both still teach), the evening was filled with dancing and the great music provided by Darin Strafford and his band.  In fact, we were honored to share a choreographed Father/Daughter by Carrie and her dad and later in the evening Shawn and his friends played with the band. The event was captured by fabulous Caitlin Cathey of Focus Photography and Nance Nickles Videography. I cannot wait to see the footage!  With our amazing team and help from Jennifer Lindblom at Bacara it was truly and event to remember, rain or shine.
